1. Financial Strategy & Planning a. Develop and manage the Department’s financial strategy in alignment with economic goals and multi-program initiatives. b. Provide strategic forecasts, financial modelling, and performance analysis for short-term and long-term initiatives. c. Set up the finance/account unit and establish a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
2. Financial Operations & Control a. Oversee daily accounting operations, budget preparation, expense monitoring, and cash flow management. b. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal financial controls.
3. Revenue Management Manage and optimize diverse revenue streams including: a. Membership and participation fees (e.g., LTIF, etc.) b. Sponsorships, subscriptions, grants, and consultancy services c. Investment partnerships and returns on commercial projects
4. Program & Project Financing a. Design cost recovery models for Departmental projects and services. b. Track the financial impact of strategic programs and provide timely reporting to stakeholders.
5. Stakeholder Reporting & Compliance a. Prepare financial statements, donor reports, and statutory filings. b. Engage with auditors, regulators, and funding partners to ensure transparency and compliance.

Master’s
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.

Minimum
of 10 years’ progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5
years in a senior leadership role.

Professional
certification, such as ICAN, ACCA, or CPA, is required.
