1. Strategic Communications Planning
● Develop and implement an annual communications strategy aligned with the Department’s programs and objectives.
● Plan communication campaigns for major initiatives, events, or announcements.
● Identify communication goals, target audiences, channels, and timelines for each initiative.
2. Content Development and Management
● Write, edit, and produce high-quality content including:
❖ Press releases
❖ News articles
❖ Social media posts
❖ Website updates
❖ Event scripts
❖ Speeches and talking points for leadership
● Maintain a consistent and professional tone aligned with Kingdom principles.
● Curate and manage a repository of images, videos, and multimedia assets for departmental use.
3. Media Relations
● Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and ministry media platforms.
● Organize press conferences, media briefings, and interviews for departmental leadership.
● Monitor media coverage and prepare press clippings for leadership updates.
● Respond promptly and professionally to media inquiries.
4. Digital and Social Media Management
● Manage and update the Department’s social media accounts with engaging content.
● Develop social media calendars and monitor engagement metrics.
● Oversee digital campaigns to promote departmental programs and events.
● Track trends and propose strategies to enhance digital presence.
5. Internal Communications
● Draft internal memos, newsletters, and announcements to keep staff informed.
● Support communication needs for staff engagement initiatives or training sessions.
● Ensure clarity and consistency in internal messaging.
6. Event Communications Support
● Collaborate with the Head of Programs and Events to develop communication plans for:
❖ Conferences
❖ Workshops
❖ Trade exhibitions
❖ Stakeholder forums
● Prepare event promotional materials, MC scripts, and post-event reports.
● Coordinate media coverage for events.

Bachelor’s
degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing,
or a related field.
◆
A
master’s degree is an advantage.
◆
Minimum
of 4–6 years’ experience in communications, media relations, or public
relations roles.
◆
Experience
in ministry, nonprofit, public sector, or development communications preferred.
